В этой израильской публикации (иврит, источник респектабельный) утверждается, что все или почти все эфиопские еврейки (фалашмура), начиная с лагерей беженцев и ныне в Израиле получают, практически в обязательном порядке, уколы сильного противозачаточного средства с многочисленными побочными эффектами Депо-Провера; значительно более безопасные противозачаточные им не прописывают, объясняя, что они будут забывать их принимать и у них родятся дети.

Это правда? Как это вообще может быть?

Я не читал статью гуглопереводом, но следил за дальнейшей дискуссией, и мне представляется так, что сейчас все замешанные отрицают, что такие угрозы делались.

Что означает, что таки официальной политики не было, а была "проба сил" (или местная инициатива).

Что тоже не есть хорошо, конечно.

Из гуглоперевода на английский следует, что это достаточно распространённая практика. Начальник одной из местных соцслужб говорит: а что тут такого? Всё нормально.

То есть выражусь определённее: нет ОФИЦИАЛЬНОЙ ПОЛИТИКИ. А вот сложившаяся практика - есть.

В ЮК, например, тоже нет официальной политики отбирать детей у умственно отсталых. А вот сложившаяся практика - есть. И если спросить об этом соцработника и психолога, то они скажут - всё нормально, мы лишь заботимся об интересах детей.

И складываются такие практики, как мне субъективно представляется, из-за того, что соцслужбам даны непомерно широкие полномочия.
