Коротко: в России гомофобия, Овчинников не может не считаться, а Колмановский гей (откуда? ну, я сама догадалась, из общих соображений), он и уволил, за урон имиджу школы, это и по американским законам было бы легально. Овчинников хороший, отстаньте от него.

Кремль и Лубянка из этой картины волшебно исчезают, как и главная трагедия В.Ф. Овчинникова. Он же хороший, все сделал правильно, по американски. Какая трагедия?

Я почитал комментарии в вашем журнале, и вы там по большей части придумываете оправдания, почему К можно и даже нужно было уволить. Да, через слово оговариваясь, что вы не гомофоб, а совсем наоборот, что вы никого не обвиняете, и что тут все жертвы. Но сути это не меняет. Вы пытаетесь оправдать то, чего быть не должно, параллельно якобы соглашаясь с тем, что этого быть не должно.

I don't htink you understood anything I am saying . I am saying very specifically - here, here and there - that a school or any other institution has a right to censor its employees both inside and outside of their immediate work duties, if it feels that the institution's reputation/survival/profit is at risk.

При этом я не спорю, что сурвайвал и профит школы теперь вполне эт риск, потому что итс Раша. А вот репутейшну, очевидно, пришёл не то чтобы конец...

Кстати, оговорюсь, что я тоже в этой ситуации не обвиняю никого, кроме тех, кто поставил фигурантов в такие условия (заставил ходить на пикеты, заставил выбирать между школой и учителем). Но оправдывать? Нет, спасибо.

we have a BUSINESS. an educitonal enterprise. with a name, reputaiton, this, that, and whatever.

VF clearly ( by now at TN's urging I read his interviews ) - clearly has an anti-homosexual bias. unfortunately. he possibly would have supported this law. very probably, indeed, he says so much.
