Коротко: в России гомофобия, Овчинников не может не считаться, а Колмановский гей (откуда? ну, я сама догадалась, из общих соображений), он и уволил, за урон имиджу школы, это и по американским законам было бы легально. Овчинников хороший, отстаньте от него.

Кремль и Лубянка из этой картины волшебно исчезают, как и главная трагедия В.Ф. Овчинникова. Он же хороший, все сделал правильно, по американски. Какая трагедия?

you guys are just not ready for real freedom. you bite each other's heads off fighting for freedom of speech, but you don't even begin to know what freedom of speech means.

you like freedom of speech for those YOU like, for the rest it is - мерзость!

VF clearly ( by now at TN's urging I read his interviews ) - clearly has an anti-homosexual bias. unfortunately. he possibly would have supported this law. very probably, indeed, he says so much.

it is HIS SCHOOL. he has a right to fire abybody who does not share his views - and they of course have a right to sue. that - is - pure capitalism. or rather, true freedom of speech. not the kindergarten version you arre pushing.

yes. and we do have the right to find his actions deplorable and his views are immoral. and also start a backlash. and if many people find his actions deplorable (and I'm sure most do) maybe they will also decide not to send their kids to a school, where principal is a bigot. so maybe instead of saving his school, his actions will actually kill it. nothing personal, pure capitalism.

i correct myslelf - i agree with the sentiment - pure capitalism, you and others may not buy his product anymore because of this incident.

i disagree with the label "bigot".

i personally do not find his actions deplorable.

but you do and have a right to not send your kids to his school.

i am sure you will find something deplorable in teh seattle school system. I SURE HAD.
